You may think the top 5 best Law of Attraction quotes listed below are a little cheesy and you could be right. However, the idea and principles behind each one of these Law of Attraction quotations are fundamental to successful manifestation.

Although there are literally hundreds of these quotes, I asked myself if I had to choose only five, which would I choose and why? Each chosen quote had to be relevant to the Law of Attraction. It had, if implemented, be impactful and lastly, it had to be easy to remember so it would always be foremost on my mind.

The Law of Attraction is always working, whether you believe it or not. To live your best life, the life you deserve, you should understand the Law of Attraction.

You may have already heard the story I am about to share with you (Find Your Own Name on Balloon), as I have heard a few variations of it, but in all of them, the moral of the story is the same. 

It’s very similar to the saying “Treat others as you would like to be treated”, but for the purposes of this article, it goes a lot further.

There is nothing better to lift your spirits than bringing joy and happiness to somebody else.  When you feel down it is because you have thoughts running through your head that are evoking negative feelings.  We all struggle to stop thinking certain thoughts, and the more we try, we often simply attract more of those thoughts which result in us feeling more miserable.


So instead of thinking about yourself, your situation, your problems, think about somebody else. 

The story below is a perfect example of how helping somebody else will actually help you.

A group of 100 people were attending a conference.  During his talk, the speaker stopped to include a group activity for everybody in the room.

This began by giving each participant a balloon.  Everyone was told to write their name on it with a marker pen.

When everybody had done this the balloons were all collected and put into another room.

Everybody was then asked to go into the other room containing the balloons.  They were given five minutes to find the balloon with their name on.

As you can imagine, this was very chaotic with everybody quickly scrambling to find their name on a balloon.

When the end of five minutes was up, nobody had found their own balloon.

Then everyone was asked to randomly collect a balloon and give it to the person whose name was written on it. 

In less than five minutes, everyone had their own balloon.

The speaker reflected on what this exercise meant. This is exactly what’s happening in all of our lives.  We are all frantically looking around for happiness, but no one knows where to find it.

Our individual happiness lies in the happiness of other people. Give them their happiness, and in return, you will get your own happiness.  Stop always thinking of yourself and your needs.  Look around and help somebody else fulfil theirs.

Be sincere, and don’t do this with the expectation of getting something back.  It is important that your intentions are pure and unselfish. 

In other words, be the rainbow in somebody’s cloud.  And by being that rainbow, you will attract more rainbows into your own life and happiness.

England vs Colombia - How a negative can be a positive

How a Negative Can Be a Positive

We all experience what we perceive as negative situations in our lives.  When practising the law of attraction negative experiences are not always what we believe them to be.

When things go wrong or don’t go according to plan, we see this as negative.  As soon as we decide a situation is negative, our thinking becomes negative causing us to vibrate at a lower frequency resulting in more negative situations being experienced.

With the Law of Attraction negative experiences are often all about perception. 

Not all situations we perceive as negative actually are.  Unfortunately our minds have been programmed to perceive certain life situations as negative and when these are experienced our reactions are more often than not negative.

It is our reaction to a situation that counts.  What we think about it determines whether or not it really is negative.

The recent FIFA Football World Cup in Russia provided an excellent reminder of this to me during the England vs Colombia knock out match.  For decades England have been haunted by their penalty shootout loss to Germany in Euro 1996. Prior to this England had also lost to Germany in a penalty shootout in 1990 World Cup in Italy.  It felt like England were cursed and if winning a match came down to winning a penalty shootout, then it would be all over for the England team.

It is interesting to note that Gareth Southgate who is the current England manager was the player that failed to score.

With the history briefly explained, let me highlight the beauty of what unfolded recently.

England were playing in a knock out match in order to make it through to the Quarter Finals of the FIFA World Cup in Russia.  England scored their first goal relatively early and for the remaining match time the score was 1 – 0.  England had this.  Everyone assumed in a matter of minutes the whistle would blow and England would be through to the Quarter Finals.

Then during the 3 minutes of extra time, Colombia scored a goal and it’s 1-1.  Just like that the certainty of a win for England was gone.  Colombia had failed to score in the official 90 minutes but in the last three minutes of extra time that was added on, they scored.

Clearly for Colombia supporters this was a wonderful moment, but the lesson isn’t about that.

Let’s pretend Colombia didn’t score in those final minutes.  England would have won and everybody supporting them would have been extremely happy.  But it didn’t work out like that.  Instead England supporters felt cheated, so close and then ripped away. 

This was perceived as a negative experience.  Now the match would continue with 30 minutes of extra time.  England supporters were dumbstruck.  Nobody could believe what had just happened and when the players began the first half of the extra time play, they looked defeated.  The positive energy and momentum that had been evident before was gone.

The England players perceived what had happened as a negative situation which was obvious to all.

The second half of extra time was better.  In the break they regrouped and adjusted their attitudes.  No team scored during the last 15 minutes which meant the match would be decided in the dreaded penalty shootout.

And then the magic happened.  England won the penalty shootout!

It is almost ironic that the Gareth Southgate, infamous for missing the penalty shootout in the first video above, is now managing the England squad that won this penalty shootout.  How sweet for him!

But for me it was not just about winning the match.  The way it was won was the highlight for me.

If Colombia had not equalised before, England would just have won and would never have experienced the euphoria of actually finally winning a penalty shootout in a World Cup knockout match.

When we experience things in life that don’t quite go our way, keep the faith.  Life often unfolds in a way that we don’t understand giving us so much more than we could ever believe.

So the next time you experience what you perceive as a negative situation, accept it for what it is and allow things to unfold naturally.

Today’s the Day

Today's the Day - If you believe  this, one day it could very well be.

When I first heard the true story of Mel Fisher’s search for the sunken Spanish Galleon, the Atocha which sunk off the coast of the Florida Keys in 1622, I was impressed.  Not because of the vast amount of treasure that was found, but because, despite all the negativity and even tragedy that he endured, Mel Fisher never gave up.

The Nuestra Senora de Atocha was part of a convey carrying gold, jewels, silver bars, pieces of eight according the ship’s manifest. Research also indicated that it was probably also carrying treasure that was not on the manifest too like gold bars and emeralds.

In September 1622 whilst travelling from Cuba back to Spain, the convey was caught in a hurricane.  Some of the ships managed to escape the force of the hurricane and get back to safety in Cuba, whilst others, including the Atocha, heavy with its’ treasure laden cargo, smashed onto the Florida Reef.

It is interesting to note that five people survived this terrible shipwreck and later, five people would die in Mel Fisher’s quest to find the Atocha. Two of the five people who died were his oldest son Dirk and his daughter-in-law Angel on 20th July 1975.

Prior to the death of his son, Mel Fisher had located artifacts and some treasure from the Atocha but other treasure hunters were sceptical of his find.  He knew what he had found was from the Atocha but wanted to find something definitive, that nobody would question, which would prove what he believed.

His son Dirk played a key role in this.  A week before his death he located nine of the ship’s canons which put an end to all the speculation once and for all.

Despite the death of his son, the search for the mother lode continued, as did the legal battle with the American courts regarding ownership of the treasure which Mel Fisher eventually won.

Then, exactly ten years to the day of Dirk’s death, Mel’s son Kane, was searching near the spot where his brother had lost his life, when he came across a reef consisting of 47 tons of silver bars. 

After sixteen years, the mother lode of the Atocha had finally been found at a value of approximately $450 million.

We know dreams can come true but often we give up when things get difficult.  When the world is saying No, without clear determination and intent, we can begin to agree and the voice of negativity becomes our own.

I don’t know whether Mel Fisher believed in the Law of Attraction or had even heard of the term, but his actions demonstrated a positive belief and a deep sense of knowing that he would find the Atocha. 

He has been described as the eternal optimist who began every day saying “Today’s the Day”!  As he searched for 16 years, he would have declared this almost 6000 times.

He didn’t give up after saying this 1000 times.

He didn’t stop saying this after 5000 times.

He didn’t give up despite all the challenges and obstacles he had to overcome. He held fast to his belief.  He stayed the course.

Apart from becoming a very wealthy man, the confirmation and achievement of his belief in his life-long dream was the real treasure. 

What if he’d given up after five months or five years?  He was right.  The treasure was there, but he would never have fulfilled his dream.

Some things we desire manifest quickly and easily, but just because it can be difficult or lengthy in time, doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen.  As long as your desire matches your beliefs and you are actively pursuing your dream, it can come true.  Mel Fisher certainly put the action into Law of Attr-action.

Today may be your day!

Believe in Your Dreams

A few weeks ago my daughter gave me a notebook with Believe in your Dreams inscribed on the cover.  This was a great gift, because not only was my current notebook almost full, the words are on the cover were so appropriate to the current stage of my life, as I am in the early stages of building the Law of Attraction quantified.

Each page in the notebook is blank, waiting to be filled with inspirational ideas, to do lists, observations and goals

And of course, dreams!

Inspirational ideas, to do lists, observations and goals are elements that can be used practically to work towards your dream, but the big question here for me is exactly what is my dream? 

Believe in Your Dreams

Without being able to pinpoint it exactly, I won’t be able to give it the focus it deserves.  Wishy washy generalist wants are not dreams and without clear intent, cannot be achieved, as it is impossible to achieve a dream that is not clearly defined.

So What Exactly is a Dream?

Dreams for everybody will be different.  They should have a purpose and an end result, and always be something you have not achieved before.  It should be something that lights a fire within you so each day is started with a sense of excitement and expectation.  

You may not know exactly how you are going to achieve it, but know that you will.  You know where you are going and what you want to achieve. The end result will be different for everybody.  It could be a monetary goal, the holiday of a lifetime, a bigger house, a luxury car or even a sense of accomplishment.

Dream of a new house

Own your dream.  It’s your dream and has nothing to do with anybody else.  You will probably experience a lot of negativity from others who will tell you that you are unrealistic, aren’t talented enough, it’s impossible, but don’t let others opinions steer you off your path.  Staying true to your dream is staying true to yourself.

And that’s what life is all about.  You are not here to fulfil other people’s dreams.  You are here to create what it is you really want.  And it all starts with belief.

Believe in your dream.  Play it out in your mind.  It should feel really good to you.  If it does, then you’re on the right path.  Be excited about it.

This is What My Daughter Did

Up till about ten years ago she had never really traveled.  It was her dream to go to New York.  Without having the money to pay for an expensive long haul overseas trip, in her spare time she would sit at her laptop browsing flights, reading Trip Advisor reviews and planned her trip in detail, as if she was really going.  She would even go so far as dragging her fiancé to the airport for dinner where she would sit at the window overlooking the runway watching the planes take off for distant lands.  She would walk through the international departures section soaking up the atmosphere and imagining what it would be like to check in for her New York flight.  

The very next year her dream came true.  But it was even better than what she had planned.  She is a big Beyoncé fan and had always wanted to see her in concert, and that is exactly what happened - she ended up attending the Beyoncé New York concert too.

You are using the law of attraction to manifest your dream.  You don’t need to know how it’s going to come about but for it to manifest, you need to believe.  Learn to act as if it has already happened.  And this is a wonderful feeling, just knowing that your dream has the possibility of coming true.  What could be more exciting?

Be in harmony with your dream.  It may not happen right away, but have the faith that the universe will bring the right circumstances and people into your life when the time is right.  For the time to be right you need to be ready to recognize these possibilities and be open to them.  Someone is not going to knock on your door and say I am here to fulfil your dream.  But if you truly believe and live your life in a vibration of expectancy, then circumstances will manifest that, if recognised, will lead your down the path towards the fulfilment of your dream.

I will believe in my dreams.  I will believe in myself.  I am my dream.

So what exactly is your dream?
