What Is the Law of Attraction?
According to Wikipedia, the Law of Attraction is the belief that positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person's life. The belief is based on the ideas that people and their thoughts are made from "pure energy", and that a process of like energy attracting like energy exists through which a person can improve their health, wealth, and personal relationships.
When The Secret movie came out, it showed people simply thinking of something they would like to have in their life and magically it would manifest. That is the basic idea, but it is a lot more complex than that in it’s correct application. Consequently many people failed to manifest their desires because wishful thinking is just not enough.
Therefore, not everybody agrees that the Law of Attraction is real. Many dismiss it as new age thinking, hocus pocus with no scientific basis. As you find out more about it, you will be able to decide for yourself what your own beliefs on the subject are.
Before I explain more about what the Law of Attraction is, you need to first understand who you are. You are more than flesh and bone. You are unique. You are special. You are a spiritual being who is constantly vibrating your energy out to the Universe. In order to manifest your desires, your vibrational energy, or frequency, has to be a match, not to what you want exactly, but to the same vibrational frequency as that of source energy. So how you succeed at managing your vibration will determine how successful you will be at manifesting what you want in your life and creating your own reality.

Ask For What You Want
Before you ask for what you want, you need to decide on exactly what that should be. When you decide, make sure it is not something that you have a lot of resistance to. It is all well and good asking for a new car, but if you are resistant to the idea that you will actually get a new car using the Law of Attraction, then you will be proved right, and not get the car. So choose something simple to start with that you have no doubt about and see what happens. A good example of this is The Penny Experiment.
When you ask for something Source Energy immediately and without hesitation manifests what you desire. So it’s done. Your part in this process is simply to ask. You do not have to do the manifesting. Your part is to align your energy, your vibrational frequency to that of Source Energy.
Believe That It Will Manifest
Once you have decided what you want, which should be something you do believe you can manifest using the Law of Attraction, then you have to act as if it has already manifested and you are simply waiting to see it. Don’t keep thinking you want it as this will keep you in the asking mode and you will never move on to the actual manifestation of your desire. When you keep asking, you are focusing on the lack of it, your vibration is that of lack, so your manifestation will be along the lines of lack, nothing. You won’t get what you want.
Some people find it helpful to visualise exactly what they want in detail and visualise how it feels to get what you asked for. You then need to hold onto that feeling.
Receive What You Asked For
Your vibrational frequency is determined by your emotions which are in turn determined by your thoughts. When you feel good, your vibrational frequency is high, which is a match to Source Energy. You need to really feel it, deep down in your core being. This is one of the reasons why it is so important that you ask for something that when you ask for it, you feel good about. When you ask for something that makes you feel the lack of it, will not get you what you want. Be happy. Forget about what you asked for and just focus on feeling good and working on thoughts that serve your purpose, which is to align with Source Energy.
Does the Law of Attraction Work?
The Law of Attraction is always working whether you believe it or not. It is a universal law that does not switch on or off or only work for you if you believe in it. It is always working, all the time, even when you are not actually asking for anything.
Have you ever experienced something negative in your life, that when it happened you were not at all surprised because you expected it to happen. You knew that it would work out that way.
Think about it. You got what you expected. You got what you believed in. You had no doubt. We are very skilled at naturally doing this. The trick is to turn it around and attract and believe in the positive things we want to experience in our lives.
What you think about is so important. Your imagination can take you everywhere and as I’m sure you have experienced, often places you don’t want to go.
Let us remember what Einstein said: " Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research".
